Provide a safe and positive environment caring for children ages six weeks and up. Requires skills in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, patrons, family, and guests of designated facility. Requires the ability to react calmly and effectively to emergency situations. Strong ability to communicate clearly. Responsible in maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. Will require patience and positive attitude to maintain desirable environment when providing care for many children of different ages.
Full time- 80 hours per two weeks. This position will work 6:30 a.m. -3:00 p.m. Will be working with infants 3 months - 22 months of age. Must be able to relate well to children and families, be sensitive to their needs and moods, and be able to work as a team.
The incumbent must have knowledge and training equivalent to high school completion plus experience in working with children. Formal training, such as an associate degree in child development or related field, or child development associate certification would be desirable. Must be able to relate well to children and families, be sensitive to their needs and moods, and be able to work as a team.
